The press is used for pressing and extruding so-called rubber metal parts in wheelset bearing housing or in similar components such as tie rods and connecting rods. The main focus in joining lies above all in the good controllability or controllability of the pressing speed during a joining process in order to avoid so-called slip / stick effects.

Although most of the production operations provide for a stop-to-strike position, a very high-accuracy position lock of <0.1mm is possible. The force measurement is carried out with an accuracy of <0.5% of the current measured value.

When pressing in, it is often necessary to position the component to be joined in a directional position and to guide it during the pressing process. This is done by a pneumatically operated slide on which the corresponding adapters are mounted.

Squeezing operations are also possible with the wheelset bearing housing press. Here the ease of use is in the foreground. In addition to a front-extendable table, the machine also has a drawer system to catch pressed parts without them falling to the floor, where they can then be removed easily and at an ergonomic height.

As with all Ulbrich testing and joining machines, it is possible to create a log of the production process, whereby the plant adjuster himself is free to decide which data should be documented and evaluated at which point in the log.
