Vitralit® 1600 LV Smart Card is a specialized, single-component, UV-curable adhesive engineered specifically for the high-speed production and encapsulation of contactless smart cards, RFID tags, and microelectronic modules. The "LV" designation indicates a low-viscosity formulation designed for precision dispensing and excellent capillary action.
Key Features and Benefits:- Rapid UV Curing: Cures in seconds upon exposure to UV or visible light, drastically reducing cycle times and boosting production throughput on automated manufacturing lines.
- Low Viscosity Profile: Features a fluid, free-flowing consistency that easily penetrates narrow gaps, tight coil windings, and micro-channel spaces around wire-wound antennas.
- Single-Component Convenience: Ready-to-use 1K formulation requires no mixing, pot-life management, or complex preparation.
- Flexible & Stress-Resistant: Cures into a tough yet flexible polymer capable of withstanding the bending, flexing, and mechanical torsion typical of daily smart card use.
- Excellent Substrate Adhesion: Bonds reliably to standard card substrates such as PVC, polycarbonate (PC), PET, and ABS.
Typical Applications:- Smart Card Manufacturing: Embedding, sealing, and protecting microchips and wire antennas in dual-interface and contactless smart cards.
- RFID Assembly: Encapsulating transponder coils and RFID inlays to ensure long-term durability.
- Microelectronic Encapsulation: Precision potting and glob-top protection for thin, flexible electronics where low-stress curing is required.
